When I was younger I loved exploring parts of Brooklyn on my bike. I loved taking the train to different places. Getting on the bus to go from Brooklyn to Staten Island was fun. For awhile I even enjoyed taking the bus from my home upstate back to Manhattan. Everything after I turned 27 years old changed for me.

I gained weight and started to get horrible motion sickness from traveling in cars, buses ..and anything on the road. However I still have yet to have an issue with airplane or train. Honestly I love love love… The Train best because it’s smooth and you barely notice you are moving at all. You have electrical ports and wifi is free 99% of the time so yea.. it’s great..

Getting older I guess has it’s pluses and minuses but the point I’m getting at is that traveling isn’t what it was in my 30s as it was in my 20s. I’m finding it tragic but it works for the experience of life. Traveling also puts a big prospective on how tiny I am in the world around me. Watching homes, tress, roads, people, all go by out a window at whatever speed the train goes. Communities become less important and a real idea of what is happening is reminded.
