This will be the first silent morning of the winter and it just started to rain. December 21 is the official first day of winter but judging by the feeling this morning and the fact it’s supposed to drop 20 degrees today I would say winter is here. Rumors of snow are already spreading. Talk of Cold is in the air and a big part of me is excited. I love the silence winter weather brings. It’s calm and the voices in my head actually get silent. I can meditate super easy in this season and I feel the stress just lift away from me.
Cuddle up with some blankets and perhaps a movie or game. It’s all just focus on the internal time. Even with my daughter now almost six months old I’m happy to report she’s easy to deal with (so far!! Knock on wood). I really am looking forward to what is to come. Hopefully catch up on some games and sort out the home. Two more months left to the year is over and what a year it has been. To think of all that has changed in such a short amount of time.
Still so much more to do also! Recently I have been researching and reading about mixed reality. So what that is about mostly is you put on computer glasses and you visually have access to the Internet and all it’s information. With the meta program you can visually visit people who aren’t in your location and customize your representation in that visit. So for example I’m in a room with 3 of my friends. With the glasses I’ll see 2 of them actually there while 1 is at home using an avatar or life like representative of themselves to join the group.
its an interesting science because it also allows for free roaming video games. Think doom but in your living room with demons coming out of your closet and from under your bed. I having a past with simulated reality can see the possibilities being ends for this sort of construction and of course destruction. Should we live in a world that is real and yet isn’t? If history has proven anything the money for this sort of reality will start in the same fields that have always progressed first with Adult content being the main focus and of course violence.
People loved Pokemon go but once they can start seeing ugly people become flawless I think its going to change our entire mindset on the hunt for things that aren’t real. The next ten years I have no doubt we will see massive dramatic jumps in directions I can’t even begin to think about right now. I suppose we will see…
